Our volunteers come from various backgrounds. The most involved are community members, the very individuals who frequent our organization. Their contribution is vital to the center’s smooth operation and allows them to give back to the services they receive. For some, it serves as a first step towards social reintegration.
In addition to these individuals, we have neighbors, groups from different businesses or organizations, and students. In 2021, one of our regular volunteers took her involvement a step further. Alongside fellow students from McGill University, she founded “McGill Students for The Open Door Montréal.” These student volunteers coordinate the involvement of dozens of their peers who wish to contribute to our community.
